Notara Dance Theatre
The Notara Dance Theatre, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the direction of Mrs. Sally Notara, has been producing the classic Nutcracker Ballet in Stroudsburg to Tchaikovsky’s familiar holiday music since 1983. For more than 30 years, the show has not only offered entertainment for the community, but has also taught numerous dancers, stage crew, and volunteers how to produce wonderful theater.
Our goal is to expand the culture, education, and enjoyment of dance theatre in the Pocono community. The Notaras have an extensive background in the professional world of theatre and dance. Credits include:
They have traveled throughout the United States, Asia and Europe, and have performed in almost every country in the world. One of their visions was to create a non-profit 501(c)3 and share their expertise, knowledge, and love of the arts with others. Notara Dance Theatre provides a loving and supportive space for the non-professional, pre-professional, and professional to live their dream while constantly growing, learning and improving their craft. Over the years, Notara Dance Theatre members and individual cast members have gone on to start their own companies, advanced their personal career in Theatre Arts, found ways to increase the patronage of the arts, and created their own ideas that have come from this love we all share and call Notara Dance Theatre. |
